English 9 — Wed. Apr. 11

Today: We continued our focus on rhythm in poetry by looking at two very different performances of Dr. Seuss’s There’s a Wocket in My Pocket, and then reading “The Song of the Little Hunter” by Rudyard Kipling. We finished the class by brainstorming possible scenarios relating to “fear of the unknown” and then wrote a short 4-line poem in rhyme and meter.

Homework: Read your silent reading book.
